BA 101 Watercolor

For students of all levels. Initiation to basic watercolor techniques as well as general painting principles such as composition, color, contrasts, etc. Exploration of various styles and techniques including personal projects.

BA 102 Etching and Collagraphy
Ian Le Gwen
The technique of etching consists of engraving into a metal plate, which then allows multiple prints of your creation. This process gives wonderful results and requires no particular physical strength.
The technique of collagraphy consists of gluing various materials onto a plate. The relief that is thus created will be inked and printed. Collagraphy yields very fast results and allows for a lot of freedom and imagination.

BA 104 Composition I

Elements and principles of design. Observation and practical exercises in order to apply these principles and use theses elements to improve her or his own paintings.
Pre-requisite: drawing or painting classes.
Material need: artist material in the student’art, choice of medium, except oil (gouache, watercolor, acrylic, pastel). A course workbook will be distributed during the first class (price to be determined)
